Well so we begin, sharing an Island with Dinosaurs. What kind of crazy shit is that? Hopefully they don't eat my Latin ass up, I'm sure they would like a chunk of this medium rare meat.
Our first twist somewhat through me for a loop I wasn't expecting. We all have started out on the same tribes, and depending on the round number depends on how we compete in challenge. If the round is odd we compete in teams, if the round is even we compete as individuals. Fuck! It's hard enough to keep up with eight or nine people on a tribe, but to have to keep up with everyone in the game is just absolute chaos!
Another surprise was that waiting for us in our confessionals was an immunity necklace. We are allowed to play this at one tribal council we attend if we feel vulnerable, and only a set number of people can play them each tribal council.
So based on all this information I decided that I needed to hold onto this necklace for as long as possible, and what that means is I have to keep my ass away from tribal for as long as possible. I really didn't want to come into this game playing the huge challenge threat right off the bat, but what else am I going to do? I'm certainly not going to go see Jeff or Elisabeth every round, you'd be dead crazy if you thought that.
Another thing that has been bugging me so far is how antisocial a majority of this cast is. We're almost out of round one, and I still haven't spoken to about half the people here.
Paloma is my girl, and my goal is to get to the final two with her. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't even be here right now. She's definitely my number one ally, and I'm hoping the two of us can conquer and divide our way to the end of the game.
Other people I enjoy talking with so far are Tyson, Nate, Ben, Jame and Crystal. I've had the most detailed conversations with them out of everyone else, with the exception of Paloma.
I wasn't sure about Tyson at first to be honest with you. He kind of rubbed me the wrong way around the hang out area with the bullshit he spewed, but once we started talking, he's actually a fairly decen't person. I wouldn't mind working with him in the future if he presented the off before me.
The only reason I was able to really able to get close with Nate, Ben, and James was because we were in the same group for the immunity challenge, so it was a catalyst for us to talk more. They all seem like decent people, and really are dedicated to winning challenges, so I hope in the future I get put on teams with them.
Crystal blew my flipping mind when I spoke to her. The first thing out of her mouth was the fact she can't stan Andrea, and is biting her tongue in order not to whig out on her and shred her game to pieces. We got past that little bitch fit though, and found out how much we had in common. We're the same age, know a lot of the same people, and both have temper problems. I'm loving this girl right now, and hope to eventually work with her.
The rest of the people I've either not spoken to yet, or just haven't had a decent enough conversation to note them individually in this game update. Hopefully that'll change in the near future, but I wouldn't count on it.
Another curveball was thrown our way at the start of the first immunity challenge. We were told that we'd be divided up into three groups, based on the dinosaur we picked our confessional to be. I'll be honest with you, I don't even know how the hell to say what dinosaur I picked. I was looking for a ptyradactyl, or something could fly, but their weren't any.
I ended up being in the Omnivoure group along with Nate, Ben, Jaime, James, Crystal, and Dave. Our first challenge was that six of us were to be diggers and we had to dig up parts of dinosaur skeletons, then the seventh person had to assemble them.
I think it was clear that noone really wanted to step up and take the longest dig per reward bone, the tail. So I said what the heck I'll do that one, really prove my worth, and show these people that if I stick around I can really be a benefit to them in future challenges.
Ben and Dave were both pretty lame though, and didn't even show up to help at the start, so after I dug up ten tails I quit digging. Screw that if people don't have the decency to show up and let us know when they can be here, I'm not going to waste my time digging endlessly for hours for bones that may not even be used to complete a skeleton.
Ben eventually showed up, and did help dig up the sixth bone of the skeletons, which meant that David had to be our assembler. Unfortunately, Dave either got lost in the jungle, or a T-Rex came along and ate that bitch for dinner, because he never showed up, and we got killed in this challenge. It was really pathetic, and I was honestly embarrassed.
So now the seven of us get to partake in the first tribal council of this game, and I'm not really looking forward to that. Paranoia is starting to set in a little bit, especially with everyone having these immunity necklaces, it is almost enough to throw mine away, just so I can make it past the first round.
But, I honestly think we are all going to be in agreement, and vote Dave out this round. He's clearly the reason we lost, and he doesn't deserve to stay in this game. I just pray he doesn't randomly show up, play his necklace, and get a free pass into the next round. He knows he fucked up hardcore, and he knos he deserves to go because of it. I honestly feel that if Dave uses his immunity necklace, he's obviously just going to throw is game completely in the trash, and unless he wins every challenge, will go the next time he attends tribal council.
Right now my vote is planning for Dave, if something changes or he plays that necklace, I'll be back to bitch and rant about him doing it. If not see you in round two!
